Monday is my first day at Tulsa Ballet. I CAN NOT WAIT until I know my way around the office/the people/the system/the town. It's going to be a great job, but like any great job....it will be difficult at first. I have a lot to learn, but I am certain that God put me there, and so he must have some chazown (small "c") for me to accomplish in Tulsa.
I really really can't wait to be moved, settled, and back into a routine of running every morning and meeting with my (future) Lifegroup every week. I'm also going to volunteer at Lifechurch on the weekends, 'cause it's about time. And I'll also read the Bible everyday....for real. I'm really going to do this. I know I've been saying this (to myself) for about 8 years. It will happen now. I'm going to read the whole thing...just not in order. I will make it happen. I will make it part of my daily routine, and I won't make exceptions.
Has anyone else been sucessful at this? Any tips?
It's only 11:30am, and the drama of this day is unmatched:
1) I woke up at 2:30am unable to go back to sleep. I was exhausted, but in pain, and feeling dramatic.
2) I got my hair cut before work. It looks cute. Dramatic.
3) Ryan (big bro) and Steff are supposed to get married TOMORROW, but Steff has the flu.
4) They're flying to Hawaii tomorrow with all of the chaos with the airlines. Steff's dress is in a garment bag that she can't carry-on.
5) My lil bro and his gf of 2.5 years whom I love to death are "separated."
6) Gma's going through treatment.
7) I'm moving to Tulsa on Sunday, and I'm not packed. (Anyone with a truck or a pair of hands want to help???) I could really use either or both and I'd feed and compensate you. PLEASSSSSE!)
8) Lastly, a motorcyclist was hit by a car right outside my work-window this morning. He got up and walked, but the DRAMA! |
